HETEROTROPHIC ORGANISMS (grech, heteros of another, other + trophe food) — the organisms using organic matters as a source of food. Of the lake are not capable to synthesize nutrients from inorganic compounds therefore they eat various autotrophic organisms (see), the decaying organic residues or eat similar. Lakes carry to G. the person and all animals, many bacteria, yeast, mushrooms, some higher achlorophyllous vegetable organisms. Substances, to-rymi eat various G. the lake, are very various and depend on specific features of organisms. Allocate three main types of heterotrophic food: 1) golozoyny — eating and digestion of other organisms (at the person and the majority of animals); 2) saprophytic — absorption of organic matters through cell walls, food waste products of animals and plants or products of their disintegration (at yeast, the majority of bacteria, mold fungi); 3) parasitic — food at the expense of an organism of the owner.
