TSIMARIN

TsIMARIN (Cymarinum) — cardiotonic means from group of cardiac glycosides. Contains in roots of a dogbane hemp (Arosu-num of cannabinum L.), this. dogbane family (Arosupaseaye). Consists of an aglikon of strophanthidin and sugar of cymarose. Contains in 1 g 38 000 — 44 000 ICE, or 5600-6900 KED. On pharmakol. to properties it is close to strophanthin (see). It is excluded from the State register (the order of the Minister of Health of the USSR No. 14 of January 4, 1978).
