TsETAMIFYoN (Cetamiphenum) — the means lowering the content in blood of cholesterol and lipoproteids. R-ethanolamine salt

C. oppresses initial stages of biosynthesis of cholesterol (see) by binding of coenzyme A and formation of a feniletilkoenzim And. Hypolipidemic effect of C. Wuxi-leniyekhm thyritropic function of a hypophysis and increase in zhelchevydelitelny function of a liver is caused. A certain value in the mechanism of action of C. plays existence in its molecule of the aminoethanol which is one of initial products for synthesis of sincaline and having lipotropic properties. Has weak hypotensive effect, lowers a sugar content in blood.

C. apply at the atherosclerosis and other diseases which are followed by a hypercholesterolemia (see) — an idiopathic hypertensia, coronary heart disease, etc. It is possible to appoint drug in a combination with hypotensive and coronarodilator means (see Antihypertensives, Vasodilators).

Appoint inside the adult 0,25 — 0,5 g 3 — 4 times a day in 15 — 30 min. after food. Course of treatment

of 1 — 3 month.

Side effect is shown by dispeptic frustration, the increased perspiration.

Contraindications at disturbance of passability of bilious ways.

Form of release: tablets not0,25 of. Storage: in the dry, protected from light place.
