TRIHOSPORYYa (trichosporia; synonym: a piedra, a knotty trichosporosis, tropical trikhosporoz) — the fungal infection of hair which is shown education on them firm small small knots white (a white piedra) or black (a black piedra) colors.
The white piedra is for the first time described in 1866 by Lindermanom and Knokh (To. Linderman, J. Knoch), a black piedra — in 1878. De-senne. The white piedra meets hl. obr. in Great Britain, the USA,
Italy, Japan, France, in Balkan countries; in the USSR the disease is registered sporadic, generally in the republics of Central Asia. The black piedra is widespread in the countries of South America, Africa, Southeast Asia.
The activator of a white piedra — Trichosporon beigelii, the activator of a black piedra — Piedraria hortai. Ways of transfer and distribution of T. are not found out. The disease can occur at several family members. More often women are ill. Infection is possible during the use of a hairbrush, crest, headdress of the patient. To development of T. disturbances of integrity of a cuticle of a hair, use for washing of the head of water from landlocked reservoirs, a linseed mucilage, acid milk, and also greasing of hair vegetable oil promote. Inoculations of T. an experimental animal are unsuccessful. The incubation interval is not specified.
Current of T. chronic, subjective feelings are absent. At a white piedra on the surface of hair small small knots, the reminding nits are formed. Color varies them from white to light brown and brownish. Small knots have the oval, spindle-shaped or irregular form, entirely (in the form of a ring) or partially cover a hair (fig.); the quantity them fluctuates
from 2 to 20 and more. At a black piedra the fungus can strike not only a cuticle, but also substance of a hair, small knots have black coloring, the size them sometimes reaches 100 microns. At damage of long hair small knots can be linked among themselves, forming a so-called Colombian plica poconica.
The diagnosis establish a wedge on the basis, the picture confirmed with microscopic examination of a hair at Krom reveal densely weaved oval or roundish disputes of a fungus having a kernel, a kernel and a double-circuit cover.

Colonies of the activator of a white piedra on Saburo's circle have an appearance of a morel of grayish-yellow or cream color, the artro-dispute and a blastosior consist of a mycelium, darken on 3 — the 4th week. The activator of a black piedra forms ascospores from 5 to 80 microns in size; colonies of zelenovatocherny or black color; mycelium septirovanny.
T. differentiate with the so-called false piedra caused by bacteria, to-rye at microscopic examination have an appearance of thin sticks and fine coccoid grains, on Saburo's circle transparent porous colonies of cream color with scalloped edges grow.
At T. hair are washed with once hot solution of dichloride of mercury (corrosive sublimate) 1:1000 with the subsequent comb-out of small knots a fine-tooth comb and rinsing by hot water with soap. In some cases shave off affected areas of hair and wash skin with soap. Forecast favorable.
Prevention: gigabyte. care of hair, use of an individual hairbrush, crest, headdress.
