White crystal powder with the characteristic smell inherent in mercaptoconnections, bitter taste. Let's dissolve in water, alcohol; pier. weight (weight) 363,95, t°pl 124 — 130 °. Water solutions T. are quickly hydrolyzed and grow turbid.
On pharmakol. to properties it is close to to Spasmolytinum (see) also has holinoblokiruyushchy effect of hl. obr. on N-holinoretseptory vegetative gangliyev and c. N of page. Poorly influences m-holinoretseptory. Like Spasmolytinum, strengthens the anesthetizing effect of morphine and a prokhme-dale, has the mestnoanesteziruyushchy and irritating properties. Ability to relax smooth muscles of internals and vessels at T. it is expressed stronger, than at an epazmolitin. In an experiment at the spasms caused by barium chloride, T. on activity it is close to to a papaverine (see) and to Nospanum (see) and as the antagonist of acetylcholine, a histamine and bradikinin is more active, than a papaverine and Nospanum.
Apply at the diseases and states which are characterized by spasms of internals, napr at a spastic colitis, hron. gastritis, cholecystitis, a peptic ulcer of a stomach and a duodenum, hepatic and renal gripes, bronchial asthma, etc., and also at spasms of blood vessels. As antispasmodic of T. sometimes apply in combination with phenobarbital, a papaverine, morphine and Promedolum.
Appoint inside after food the adult on 0,03 — 0,06 g 2 — 3 times a day. The highest doses for adults inside: one-time 0,1 g, daily 0,3 g.
Side effect T. it can be shown by dispeptic frustration and dizziness.
Form of release: the dragees containing 0,03 g and 0,003 g (for children) Tifenum. Store in well corked container in the place protected from light.
