STRUKOV Anatoly Ivanovich (sort. in 1901) — the Soviet pathologist, the academician of AMH (1966), zasl. scientist of RSFSR (1965), Hera of Socialist Work (1971), winner of the Lenin award (1974). Member of the CPSU.

Ended in 1925 medical f-t Voronezh un-that. Since 1933 worked at department of pathological anatomy of the 1st MMI and at the same time was the senior research associate Central in-that tuberculosis. From 1938 to 1945 the department chair of pathological anatomy Kharkiv medical in-that (in 1941 — 1944 in Orenburg); in 1945 — 1948 the manager. laboratory of pulmonary pathology Ying-that normal and pathological anatomy of the USSR Academy of Medical Sciences. Since 1948 professor, and from 1953 to 1972 the department chair of pathological anatomy of the 1st MMI (since 1972 professor-consultant). In 1948 — 1959 there was a hl. editor of the State publishing house of medical literature. In 1964 — 1982 directed laboratory Ying-that morphology of the person of the USSR Academy of Medical Sciences.

A. I. Strukov published apprx. 300 scientific works, including 3 textbooks of pathological anatomy and 7 monographs. Its researches are devoted to preferential age and segmented pathology of lungs, a patomorfologiya of tuberculosis, atherosclerosis, an idiopathic hypertensia, a myocardial infarction, collagenic diseases and disturbances of microcirculation. For a cycle of works on studying of a patomorfologiya of rheumatic diseases it is conferred the Lenin award (together with A. I. Nesterov and E. M. Tareev). A. I. Strukov investigated also problems of diseases of children's age, pathology of wartime, medicinal pathology, history of domestic pathological anatomy, questions of the general pathology and philosophical aspects of medicine.

A. I. Strukov — hl. the editor of the Archive of Pathology magazine (since 1968), the associate editor of BME, the multivolume guide to pathological anatomy, the VINITI abstract magazine «General Questions of Pathological Anatomy». It is the honorary member of the German academy of scientists of Leo-poldina (GDR), Council scientific about-in VNR, Medical about-va of Ya. Purkinye (Czechoslovakia), Romanian scientific medical about-va.

«the sign of Honour» and medals is awarded by the Orders of Lenin, the October Revolution, the Labour Red Banner.
