STREPTOCIDE (Streptocidum; synonym: streptocide white, Streptocidum album, Sulfanilamidum etc.; GFH, joint venture. B) — chemotherapeutic means from group of streptocides, n-Aminobenzolsulfanilamid, or sulphamid; With 6 H 8 N 2 O 2 S:

Inodorous white crystal powder. The highest doses for adults inside: one-time 2 g, daily 7 g.

At superficial inf. damages of skin and mucous membranes, burns, contaminated wounds, ulcers, etc. S. apply locally in the form of 5 and 10% of streptotsidovy ointment (Unguentum Streptocidi) or 5% of Linimentum Streptocidi (Linimentum Streptocidi), the containing streptocide of 5 g, fish oil of 34 g, emulsifier, the stabilizer and the water distilled to 100 ml.

Usually bring the smallest sterile powder C. in a wound (on 5 — 10 — 15 g) and at the same time appoint inside streptocides or other antibacterial drugs.

For treatment acute and hron. rhinitises sometimes use Suno-ref ointment (Unguentum «Sunoreph») containing S., Norsulfazolum and Sulfadimezinum on 5 g, ephedrine of a hydrochloride of 1 g, camphor of 3 g, eucalyptus oil of 5 drops, an ointment basis to 100 g.

Side effect The page is shown by headaches, dizziness, nausea, vomiting. At prolonged use development of a leukopenia, agranulocytosis, dermatitis, paresthesias, cyanosis is possible.

It is contraindicated at diseases of the hemopoietic system, nephrites, nefroza and a hyperthyroidism.

Form of release: powder; tablets on 0,3 and 0,5 g; 5 and 10% ointment in glass jars on 25 g; 5% linimentum in tubas or glass jars on 30 and 50 g. Storage: in well corked container in the place protected from light.

In medical practice it is used also Streptocidum solubile (Streptocidum solubile; GFH, joint venture. B), to-ry in the chemical relation n-sulfamido-benzolaminometansulfatom of sodium is; With 7 H 9 N 2 NaO 5 S 2  :

White crystal powder. Let's dissolve in water, we will practically not dissolve in organic solvents. Water solutions will sterilize at t ° 100 ° within 30 min.

Indications to appointment the same that at S. Naznachayut's use parenterally and inside. For hypodermic and intramuscular introduction solutions use 1 — 1,5%, to-rye prepare on water for injections or isotonic solution of sodium of chloride. The specified solutions enter in quantity up to 100 ml 2 — 3 times a day. Intravenously enter 20 — 30 ml 2 — 5 — 10% of the solution prepared on water for injections, isotonic solution of sodium of chloride or 1% solution of glucose.

Inside the Streptocidum solubile is appointed in the same doses, as streptocide.
