F. F. Soprunov published the St. 100 scientific works devoted to hl. obr. to development of problems of biochemistry of activators and carriers of parasitic diseases, and also questions of tropical medicine and organization of fight against parasitic diseases. He studied carbohydrate and energy balance at parasites, the mechanism of effect of antiparasitic drugs, biochemical mechanisms of development of resistance in insects to these drugs; it developed and implemented in practice biochemical diagnostic methods of helminthoses.
F. F. Soprunov is the member of editorial boards of magazines «Medical Parasitology and Parasitic Diseases», «Molecular and Biochemical Parasitology» (Holland), «Angewandte Parasitologie» (GDR), the member of Coordinating committee of the program of WHO by tropical diseases and training; the deputy chairman of the Central board of society The USSR — Denmark (since 1973).
