SOLDATOV Igor Borisovich (sort. in 1923) — the Soviet otorhinolaryngologist, the academician of AMH (1978). The member of the CPSU since 1944.
Participant of the Great Patriotic War. In 1945 graduated from the Naval Medical Academy (NMA), worked at departments of otorhinolaryngology in BMMA and BMA. Since 1961 the department chair of otorhinolaryngology Kuibyshev medical in-that, the doctor of medical sciences (1959), professor (1962).
I. B. Soldatov is the author of St. 300 scientific works, including 8 monographs devoted to problems of an innervation of upper respiratory tracts, tonsillar pathology, LOR-oncology, pathology of an ear, professional pathology of JlOP-bodies, epidemiology of diseases of upper respiratory tracts and an ear, the urgen-tny help in otorhinolaryngology, history of otorhinolaryngology, the organization of the LOR-help, the higher medical education. It executed a series of works on morphology of guttural nerves and the nervous device of a lymphadenoid pharyngeal ring. It described (together with R. A. Zasosov and I. I. Isakov) a tonzil-lokardialny reflex. As a result of its researches of an innervation of a lymphadenoid pharyngeal ring there were new ideas of physiology and pathology of almonds. With their account I. B. Soldatov developed the kliniko-pathogenetic characteristic of options of a current hron. tonsillitis and the modern classification of tonsillitis accepted by the VII All-Union congress of otorhinolaryngologists. He proved diagnostic and predictive value of a vestibulometriya in connection with operations on a stirrup at an otosclerosis. With the assistance of I. B. Soldatov the phenomenon of counterlateral change of vestibular excitability is found, it is shown its wedge, value. He is the author of a number of original operations for relative deafness, vestibular dysfunction and a sonitus, the pioneer of broad use of surgical treatment of a disease of Menyer and implementation of low-frequency ultrasound in microsurgery of an ear. He developed a technique of meatotimpanalny blockade and meatotimpanalny administration of various drugs at diseases of an ear.
I. B. Soldatov was a delegate of the XXIV congress of the CPSU. He is the chairman of the Central problem uchebnometodichesky commission on diseases of an ear, a throat and a nose at Head department of M3 educational institutions of the USSR and the author of the program and methodical instructions on teaching otorhinolaryngology (1980); the initiator and the organizer of carrying out in Kuibyshev the II congress of otorhinolaryngologists of RSFSR (1967) and the I All-Union conference on children's otorhinolaryngology (1979); the vice-chairman of boards All-Union and All-Russian scientific medical about-in otorhinolaryngologists; the editor redotdet «Otorhinolaryngology» of BME.
It is awarded by the Orders of Lenin, the Labour Red Banner, the Red Star and many medals.
