SIROTININ Nikolay Nikolaevich (1896 — 1977) — the Soviet pathophysiologist, the academician of AMH (1957), the member correspondent of AN of USSR (1939), zasl. scientist of USSR (1941), pupil A. A. Bogomoltsa.

SIROTININ Nikolay Nikolaevich

In 1924 ended medical f-t Saratov un-that, worked in laboratory of the general pathology un-that under the leadership of A. A. Bogomolts.

From 1925 to 1929 the employee of the 2nd MSU. From 1929 to 1934 the department chair of pathological physiology Kazan medical in-that. Since 1934 the manager. laboratory of comparative physiology Kiev Ying-that experimental biology and pathology (nowadays Ying t of physiology to them. A. A. Bogomoltsa); professor, doctor of medical and biological sciences.

Main direction of researches H. N. Sirotinina there was a studying of reactivity of live organisms at infectious and noninfectious diseases and patol. states. In dokt. theses on a subject about an anaphylaxis were submitted to them data on oppression of activity of reticuloendothelial system and on changes of a complement of blood at an acute anaphylaxis. H. N. Sirotinin carried out the comparative and evolutionary analysis of the phenomena of an infection, immunity and an allergy. It showed that in process of development of reactivity the nature of an infection changes: at early evolutionary stages (at protozoa) inf. process consists in reproduction of microorganisms in cytoplasm of cells, and reaction of an organism comes down to mechanisms of intracellular digestion of foreign agents. Further more perfect mechanisms of reactivity which are turning on nervous mechanisms and ability to antibody formation form. Allergic reactivity arises in phylogenesis of the last therefore allergic diseases are phylogenetic the youngest and are inherent gl.obr. to the person. Similar changes of reactivity as proved H. N. Siro-tiiin, are observed in ontogenesis of high-organized animals and people. It also studied evolution of mechanisms of adaptation to a hypoxia. He proved that in process of evolutionary complication sensitivity of organisms to action of air hunger grows and at the same time there are more elaborate adaptation reactions to it. It also investigated influence of a functional condition of reticuloendothelial system on the standard and water exchange, questions of an anaphylaxis at plants, a hypergia, a pathogeny of rheumatism, immunological incompatibility. H. N. Sirotinin developed practical recommendations about a problem of a hypoxia in space medicine (for these works he was awarded by K. E. Tsiolkovsky's medal).

H. N. Sirotinin was the deputy chairman Vsesoyuzny and the chairman Kiev about-in pathophysiologists, the member of presidium of the Academic council of M3 of USSR, the editor of a redotdel «Pathological physiology» of BME.
