Ended in 1930 chemical f-t Moscow un-that, worked in scientific research institute of organic semi-products and dyes. In
1935 — 1945 the senior research associate, the manager. laboratory of organic chemistry in V I of EM.
In 1945 — 1959 worked in Ying-those biological and medical chemistry of the USSR Academy of Medical Sciences and at the same time (1957 — 1959) — in Ying-those organic chemistry of Academy of Sciences of the USSR. Since 1959 the director created on his initiative Ying-that chemistry of natural compounds of Academy of Sciences of the USSR (nowadays Ying t of bioorganic chemistry of M. M. Shemyakin). From 1930 to 1957 conducted teaching work consistently in Moscow in-those a fine chemical tecnmology and Moscow textile in-those.
M. M. Shemyakin published the St. 400 scientific works devoted to problems of theoretical organic chemistry and chemistry of natural compounds. Together with A. E. Braun matte M. M. Shemyakin created the general theory of effect of piridoksal-dependent enzymes. The important place in scientific activity of M. M. Shemyakin was taken by researches of biochemistry of phthiocol, antibiotics. Its researches formed a basis for development of new field of bioorganic chemistry — chemistry of membranoaktivny complexons (see the Complex they).
