RAPOPORT Mikhail Yulyevich (1891 — 1967) — the Soviet neuropathologist, professor, zasl. scientist of RSFSR (1958).
In 1914 ended medical f-t of Yuryevsky un-that and it was left at department of nervous and sincere diseases. From 1918 to 1928 worked at department of nervous diseases medical f-that Voronezh un-that; since 1929 — in Ying-those neurosurgery of N. N. Burdenko of the USSR Academy of Medical Sciences (from 1945 to 1952 the deputy director in-that by a scientific part, and since 1952 — the manager. clinical department). In 1939 protected dokt. the thesis on the subject «Neurologic Diagnosis of Tumours of Temporal Shares».
M. Yu. Rapoport published apprx. 90 scientific works, including 3 monographs devoted to hl. obr. to questions of topical diagnosis of diseases of c. N of page, neuroinjury of wartime, symptomatology of tumors of a brain. Made the significant contribution to improvement of diagnostic methods in neurosurgery.
M. Yu. Rapoport was the chairman of neurologic section Moscow about-va neuropathologists and psychiatrists, the deputy chairman Moscow about-va neurosurgeons.
«the sign of Honour» and medals is awarded by the Orders of Lenin, the Labour Red Banner.
