PILOMIKOZ (Latin pilus of hair + mycosis[es]; synonym trichomycosis) — fungal infection of hair. Carry a knotty trichosporosis to P. (see. Trichosporosis ), at which only hair are surprised. An axillary trichomycosis or trikhonokardioz (see. Trichomycosis axillary ), earlier also treating P., is a bacterial disease (pseudo-mycosis). Other fungus diseases (e.g., a trichophytosis, a microsporia, a favus) at which activators, except hair, affect also smooth skin or nails, many researchers consider use of the terms «pilomikoz» or «trikhomikoz» at damage of hair unreasonable,
