PETROV Jehoiakim Romanovich (1893 — 1970) — the Soviet pathophysiologist, the academician of AMH (1960), the major general of health service.

In 1922 ended VMA, worked at department of the general and experimental pathology under the direction of H. N. Anichkova. In 1939 — 1963 the chief of department patol, physiology, in 1963 — 1968 professor-consultant of the Academic council of VMA. At the same time directed experimental and biological laboratory Leningrad in-that occupational health and the accident prevention (1926 — 1936) and laboratory experimental a pas -' todogiya Leningrad in-that hematology and hemotransfusion (1932 — 1968).

By I. R. Petrov it is published St. 350 scientific works, including 19 monographs and manuals, the devoted tests -' to millions of air hunger, blood loss, shock and terminal states, posttransfusion complications, electric traumas, professional pathology, etc. Universal recognition got its job on a problem of air hunger in which studying he was a successor of the researches begun by V. V. Pashutin. I. R. Petrov developed new classification of various forms of air hunger, dependence between weight of air hunger and a reference functional state of c is established. the N of page and endocrine system, an opportunity to manage a current of air hunger by means of neurotropic drugs and a hypothermia, are offered methods of prevention and therapy of various forms of air hunger. And. R. Petrov offered plazmozamenyayushchy liquid (1941) which was widely used during the Great Patriotic War; proved the principles of complex therapy of shock using antishock liquid (1941).

I. R. Petrov was an editor of a redotdel «Physiology» of the 2nd prod. BME and the multivolume management on p the atoll. physiology, the chairman Vsesoyuznogo scientific medical about-va pathophysiologists (1960 — 1968), the member international about-va transfuziolog.

It is awarded by the Orders of Lenin, the Red Banner (two), Patriotic wars of the II degree, the Labour Red Banner and medals.
