The PARAMEDIC — the health worker with secondary vocational medical education having the right to work as the medical assistant in a medical profilaktiche-skikh and sanitary and anti-epidemic institutions or independently at medical and obstetrical center and a medical assistant's health center.

Training of paramedics and other average medics is carried out in special average educational institutions — medical schools (see).

Military paramedic.

In the Russian army average medics began to appear since the beginning of 17 century as self-educated persons or pupils of doctors., Being under authority of the pharmaceutical order (see) subdoctors, bone-setters on the nature of their activity were close to military paramedics. He is obliged to know the situation developing during fighting, to have the information about the wounded and patients who are subject to carrying out (export); to organize search of wounded and patients (see Search and collecting struck) and rendering the first medical aid to them (see. First aid) to provide collecting, carrying out and export them (see Carrying out and export of struck); to direct work of sanitary instructors (see), staff of a first-aid post and to participate in rendering the pre-medical help to wounded and patients; to maintain constant readiness of staff of a first-aid post of battalion for work on mitigation of consequences of use by the opponent of weapons of mass destruction; to organize overseeing by the persons who were affected by ionizing radiation, to carry out a dignity. supervision of quality of food of staff, and also of a condition of sources of water supply around actions of division and providing staff with water; to organize and carry out medical investigation around placement and fighting; to hold anti-epidemic events; to keep in contact about a dignity. instructors and chief of a first-aid post of a part.
