NOVEMBICHINUM (Novembichinum; synonym: Novembichin, Novoembichin; joint venture. A) — antineoplastic means from group of the alkylating connections. 2-chlorpropyl-bis (beta Aether chloratus) of amine hydrochloride:
White crystal powder, easily water soluble and alcohol. The mechanism of cytostatic action of N. is based on reaction alkylations (see) and abilities it is easy to react with nucleinic to-tami, by proteins, enzymes and it is shown in braking of proliferation of tumor cells as a result of disturbance of their mitotic division. On pharmakol, to properties H. it is close to to Embichinum (see), but is less toxic.
N. apply at treatment of a lymphogranulomatosis and hron, lymphoid leukosis, erythremia, fungoid mycosis and lymphosarcoma; nek-ry authors note favorable results of treatment by means of N. of metastasises of a breast cancer in regional limf. nodes.
N part with Ringer's solution and enter strictly intravenously every other day; a single dose for adult 8 — 10 mg, for children of 0,15 — 0,2 mg of kg. The course of treatment consists of 10 — 15 injections under a careful gematol, control. At decrease in number of leukocytes to 3000, and thrombocytes to 150 000 in 1 mkl blood H. cancel and appoint the means stimulating a hemopoiesis. Repeated courses of treatment of N. can be carried out in 1 — 2 month after recovery of indicators of blood. According to indications N.'s treatment can be added with radiation therapy.
At N.'s treatment nausea, vomiting, a headache, phlebitis in the field of
N. N introduction can be observed. it is contraindicated at the expressed anemia, a leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, hemorrhagic diathesis, at severe defeats of cardiovascular system, a liver and kidneys.
Form of release: ampoules on 0,01 g. Storage in the cool place protected from light.
