MICROINCINERATION (synonym: microincineration, spodografiya) — a way of identification of inorganic matters (their arrangement and quantity) in the cuts of fabric treated to action of high temperatures; it is applied to definition of a normal and pathological mineralization of fabrics.
It is offered to m in 1833 F. V. Raspail, it is improved by A. Polikar (1938), Johnson (J. Johnson, 1964), etc.
Thin gistol, the cut from the fresh or fixed without use of inorganic compounds fabric is slowly burned at t ° 500 — 600 ° on a special plate from platinum, quartz, porcelain, etc. before full ashing. It is preferable to m to carry out in the special electric furnace with a rheostat and supply of nitrogen; at the same time there are more ashes, than at M. on air. Supply of nitrogen is stopped when temperature in the furnace reaches 500 — 530 °; the furnace is slightly opened, and oxygen of an incoming air quickly oxidizes coal. Ashes strongly stick to the heated glass or a plate; after careful cooling drug is covered with cover glass, okantovyvat and investigated under a microscope in incident light or in a dark field. Distribution of ashes on drug — to a spodogramma (see) — compare to the control cuts painted in the usual way. From the salts which are present at fabrics sodium chlorides and potassium, and also calcic and magnesian salt of phosphorus to - you remain; acid and neutral carbonates are transferred to oxides; potassium pyrophosphate is formed of disubstituted potassium phosphate; from the connections containing iron including hemoglobin, the oxide of trivalent iron * having color from yellow to red turns out; silicon connects to calcium, forming silicates. Besides, sulfates and pyrophosphates are formed of organic matters; sulfur partially turns into sulfur oxide and disappears. On spodogramma carrying out exact quantitative researches and microchemical reactions (e.g., on presence of calcium oxalate, on availability of iron and so forth), definition of degree is possible mineralizations (see) fabrics, and thanks to destruction of organic matters the mistakes connected with influence of colloids of fabrics on the course of chemical reactions, with interaction of organic components of fabric with reactants, etc. are excluded. Shortcomings of a method are impossibility to judge the nature of interrelation of mineral substances among themselves and with organic substances, lack of criteria of differentiation of structural elements of fabric from products of metabolism.
