LENTIGO (Latin. lentigo) — the limited melaninovy hyperchromia of skin which is characterized by formation of the small flat hyper pigmented elements.
Etiology and pathogeny are not studied. Usually L. carry to pigmental to a nevus (see); besides, L. meets at nek-ry hereditary syndromes.
significant increase in melanocytes along dermo-epidermal border and accumulation Is characteristic melanin (see) in epidermis. In some cases melanin is found also in nipples of a derma; lengthening of epidermal shoots is sometimes noted.
The L is shown. more often in the first years of life in the form of single (to ten) elements (fig. 1). Further increase in number of rashes is observed or at youthful age (youthful L.), or after 50 — 60 years (senile L.). Youthful L. — the multiple, located absent-mindedly on any site skin, the hyper pigmented ovate-orbicular sharply limited noninflammatory formations of light brown or dark-brown color. Senile L. it is localized preferential on the back of brushes, forearms, a face, a neck and has dark brown color, up to brown-black. Subjective feelings at L. no. At adults total number of lentiginozny elements fluctuates with the broad range, to a thicket reaching 20 — 30. Formation of very large number of elements is possible, up to profuse (lentnginoz) of rashes (fig. 2), to-rye can be located also on mucous membranes of an oral cavity, generative organs.
To rare kinds of L. carry: the lentiginosis is asymmetric, or unilateral, characterized by an asymmetric arrangement of rash; median and front lentigo Touraine, for to-rogo localization of elements on a forehead with transition to a nose bridge, is characteristic Nov, is more rare lips and a neck; vokrugrotovy L. — Peytts's syndrome — Egersa — Touraine (see. Peyttsa-Egersa syndrome ). Nek-ry elements L. can accept warty character or character of a pigmental hair nevus over time.
In uncomplicated cases of L. is not subject to treatment. Removal of separate elements L. it is admissible within healthy fabrics with an obligatory gistol, a research. At a malignancy an operative measure with the subsequent roentgenotherapy is shown.
Forecast favorable. The malignancy arises extremely seldom, for its prevention it is necessary to avoid impact on skin of the irritating factors, including long insolation.
