After the termination in 1944. Kazakh medical in-that served in Red Army. In 1946 — 1952 worked as the research associate in Ying-those the general and experimental pathology of the USSR Academy of Medical Sciences, then there was a deputy director Ying-that normal and pathological physiology of the USSR Academy of Medical Sciences (1958 — 1966). In 1964 protected dokt, the thesis on a subject about a pathogeny of tetanus. Since 1966 the manager. laboratory of the general pathology of a nervous system Ying-that general pathology and pathological physiology of the USSR Academy of Medical Sciences.

G. N. Kryzhanovsky published more than 250 scientific works, including 4 monographs devoted to hl. obr. to problems of a pathophysiology of a nervous system, the general and inf. pathologies. He formulated the theory of generating mechanisms neyropatol. the syndromes which are characterized by a hyperactivity of systems and the concept about a role of determinant structures in activity of a nervous system (the principle of a determinant); developed pilot models of a row neyropatol. syndromes. In G. N. Kryzhanovsky's works the principle of the alternating activity of the functioning structures, structurally functional discretization («kvantovannost») biol, processes, disintegration and a disinhibition in biol, systems are described. A number of molecular and membrane mechanisms of damage of a neuromuscular synapse is installed to them. G. N. Kryzhanovsky developed the theory of neural transport of a tetanin in c. the N of page, formulated idea of the nature of tetanus as about a polygeneral disease. Under its management the St. 20 theses, including 8 doctor's are prepared and protected.

G. N. Kryzhanovsky is vice-chairman Vsesoyuznogo about-va pathophysiologists, the editor of a redotdel «Pathological physiology» in BME, the responsible secretary of the «Bulletin of Experimental Biology and Medicine» magazine (1951).
