KIEFER ASCITES-AGAR (F. Kiefer, is mute. the bacteriologist) — a medium with ascitic liquid for cultivation of gonokokk. It is offered in 1895 by Kiefer. Sterilely the received ascitic liquid is added to specially prepared an agar agar. Wednesday is of historical interest as there are other mediums having properties of the ascitic environment as e.g., Bailey's circle.
