KERATOGRAFIYA (Greek keras, keratos a horn, horn substance + grapho to write, represent; synonym fotokeratografiya) — a research of a form of a cornea by photography of the images reflected from its surface — concentric rings or parallel strips.
To. it is applied to diagnosis of disturbances of sphericity of a cornea owing to various patol, processes and as a control method at refraction operations on a cornea. At the same time on a keratogramma disturbance of a form of rings or parallelism of strips or change of distance between rings or strips (fig.) is noted.
Further development To. the fotokeratometriya is, edges allows to define topography of a front surface of a cornea. Fotokeratometriya is applied to calculation of a form of an individual contact lens, and also to assessment of dynamics of pathological changes of a cornea at her various diseases.
