GEMERI Fell (Gomori Pal, 1905 — 1973) — the Hungarian therapist, the doctor of medical sciences (1952), professor (1950), the academician. Hungarian academy of Sciences (1965), foreign member of the USSR Academy of Medical Sciences (1969). In 1930 ended Budapest medical un-t; in therapeutic clinics of it un-that was the deputy manager (1944 — 1946), professor (since 1950), the director of clinic (since 1959). Since 1967 the academician-secretary of department of medical sciences of the Hungarian academy of Sciences, and since 1969 the director State in-that internal diseases, since 1963 the chief therapist of the Ministry of Health of VNR.
P. Gemeri is an author more than 240 scientific works devoted to problems of a metabolism and pathology of kidneys. It showed that posterior pituitary hormone causes a hyperglycemia due to mobilization of a glycogen from a liver and muscles (1932). Its main works on pathology of kidneys are devoted to problems of so-called extrarenal azotemias, studying of microcirculation in kidneys, and also to questions of functional diagnosis of renovascular arterial hypertension, development of indications to operational treatment of these diseases. Gemeri was a chairman veng. medical about-in and federations (since 1966), the member of executive committee International therapeutic, International nefrol, and International angiol. about - century. Consisted the honorary member Czechoslovak scientific about-va of Purkinye, and also nefrol, about-in GDR and Great Britain. It is awarded by awards VNR: award of the People's Republic of the V degree, award of Work, award «For Service to the Homeland» of gold degree. It is conferred the State award of Koshut III of degree.
