GEBOIDNY SYNDROME (grech, hebe youth, puberty, eidos look; synonym: psychopatholike syndrome, psevdokharaktero logical syndrome, parathimia, mattoid) — the syndrome of a mental disorder arising at young age with exaggeration and modification of psychological pubertal properties, dominance of affective and strong-willed disturbances, including and inclinations which result in the behavior contradicting the standard norms and the expressed disadaptation in society. To of page the arising phase affective frustration are inherent in various expressiveness of the phenomenon of mental immaturity and autokhtonno. Of page is observed at schizophrenia within a low-progreduated form of a current, but also meets in the initial period of other its forms. Less often than G. the page is described at some forms of psychopathies (geboidny, emotionally stupid).
The originality of the emotional frustration which are combined with relative safety of intellectual functions formed the basis for G.'s reference by the village to so-called moral insanity (moral insanity), a cut was described as an independent disease. Within it by the symptomatic principle various states combined psychopathological and nosologically. In a crust, time it is a concept is of only historical interest.
The clinical picture
G. page is shown by roughness earlier unusual for the patient and enmity in the relations with people around with senseless opposition and negativism to the standard way of life, construction in authority of all negative. Ugly and comical forms of imitation fashion in clothes, eccentricity and pretentiousness of outward and behavior in general, deliberate forwardness and a payasnichanye are characteristic. Despite safe intellectual opportunities, ability to purposeful systematic activity is gradually lost. Interests and occupations of patients accept the nature of unproductive «supervaluable» hobbies or aimless pastime and in many respects are defined by the accruing weakening of self-checking. Patients throw school, irregularly go to work, idle wander on streets, without thinking, go to other cities «to learn life», easily get under influence of antisocial persons and make offenses. At some patients into the forefront counterinhibition of sexual desire, the unlimited use of alcoholic beverages and the use of drugs, occupations acts as gamblings. Such behavior of patients does not give in to correction at all and can mistakenly be regarded as undisciplined.
Tendency to patol, to imagination of quite often sadistic contents is characteristic of patients at whom G. the page develops at early pubertal age (11 — 14 years). In behavior the negativistichesky attitude towards relatives with unmotivated hostility and hatred to them, persistent terrorization by their unreasonable claims, sophisticated cruelty and causeless aggression prevails (so-called nonsense of acts and family hatred, on terminology of fr. psychiatrists). The persistent aspiration to permission of abstract problems with simultaneous withdrawal from really significant activity is characteristic of G. of the page arising in youthful years (15 — 17 years) (a so-called metaphysis. intoxication, dogmatic nonsense). At the same time judgments of patients are deprived of depth of judgment of problems, are often imitative; reformatory plans are projected without real opportunities and a situation, are followed by empty rebelliousness and a claim for originality of outlook.
Inadequacy, small motivation and quite often perverted nature of emotional reactions and inclinations are inherent to patients with G. of page. Sharply feelings of sympathy, compassion, a debt decrease; full ignoring of ethical representations and indifference to opinion of people around is found. Social factors exert impact on external manifestations of G. of page.
Pathogenetic G. is connected by page with the period of puberty, patients with G. of page quite often have a hereditary Burdeness psychopathies of a schizoid circle.
Differential diagnosis is carried out with mental manifestations fiziol, pubertal crisis, with asocial forms of behavior of persons with frustration of inclinations (e.g., at psychopatholike states owing to organic lesion of a brain after encephalitis, cherepnomozgovy injuries, at endocrinopathies, an oligophrenia, hron, alcoholism, etc.). Pages at schizophrenia are characteristic inadequacy of acts with loss of their communication with a real situation of G., loss of emotional interest in surrounding, the uniform and stereotypic nature of the activity which is quite often taking the form of «supervaluable» inclinations. Diagnosis is helped by existence of other productive symptoms (e.g., crazy, catatonic, etc.) and disorders of thinking.
a symptomatic treatment, includes use of tranquilizers, a neyleptil, a haloperidol, in more hard cases — majeptil, the Forecast depends on a current of a basic disease. At a low-progreduated form of schizophrenia to end of the pubertal period there is a noticeable reduction of G. of page, social and labor adaptation is recovered. Of page usually does not repeat, however at transferred it is observed known for «sex» of the personality with clear signs of a delay of mental development, leveling of the brightest individual properties and emotional and strong-willed qualities.
