FURASOLIDONE (Furazolidonum; synonym: Diafurone. Furoxon, Neftin,
Optazol, Tricofurin, etc.; GFH, cir. B) — antibacterial and anti-protozoan agent derivative of nitrofuran. 1Ч-(5-Нитро-2-фур-фурилиден) - 3-aminooksazolidon-2;
Yellow or inodorous chartreuse powder, slabogorky taste, is almost water-insoluble, very little alcohol-soluble, Gpl 253 — 256 °, a pier. weight (weight) 225,16.
Affects gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, including on causative agents of dysentery, typhoid and paratyphus, and also nek-ry protozoa, napr, trichomonads and lyambliya. In comparison with other nitrofurans influences on causative agents of pyogenic infections and gas gangrene less. T. affects strains of bacteria, resistant to antibiotics and sulfanamide drugs.
At intake F. it is soaked up in intestines and in 30 min. it is found in blood. Gets through a placenta into blood of a fruit. With urine from 2 to 8% of the entered dose are allocated.
T. apply hl. obr. at infections went. - kish. path (dysentery, paratyphoid, food toxicoinfections). Appoint inside the adult 0,1 — 0,15 g 4 times a day. To children F. appoint at the rate of 10 mg/kg a day. Duration of treatment
is 5 — 10 days. At mecotic colpitises (see) and uretrita (see) appoint 0,1 g 3 — 4 times a day within 3 days. At colpitises along with intake F. enter into a vagina in the form of powder and into a rectum in the form of candles. At a lambliasis appoint inside the adult 0,1 g 4 times a day.
The highest doses for adults inside: one-time 0,2 g, daily
Side effect is shown by dispeptic frustration and allergic reactions. T. inhibits monoamine oxidase, and also breaks metabolism of alcohol in this connection at treatment by this drug it is necessary to avoid alcohol intake. It is contraindicated at hypersensitivity to nitrofurans.
Form of release: tablets on
0,05 g. Storage: in the place protected from light.
