FUKSYN (Fuchsin, a synonym rosaniline muriatic) — the main aniline dye from group trife-nilnaftilmetanovy. P the hl is applied in bacteriology and histology. obr. in the form of magenta and main acid.
Magenta acid (synonym: acid fuchsin, Fuchsin S, Rubin S., Magenta I., Acid violet 19, etc.) receive by substitution of hydrogen in a kernel of rosaniline (see) the S03Na group; usually it contains impurity of sulfate pararosaniline. Water solution of magenta acid (0,5 — 1%) is used for background coloring (see); it gives to cytoplasm pink, and to collagenic fibers bright red color. Magenta acid is a part of the painting mixes for gistol. researches of connecting fabric (see Van-Gizona a method, Mallori methods, Ehrlich — ■ Biondi coloring) and nervous tissue (see Alzheimer methods of coloring), identifications of mitochondrions (see Aljtmann methods), etc.
Under the name «main fuchsin» to consumers pure pararosaniline (parafuchsin, p-, p '-, p" - triaminofenilmetilen) or its mix with rosaniline and Magenta II arrives. Solutions of the main fuchsin have dark red color, they are applied to coloring of kernels of cells, osteocytes in bone shlifa (see), elastic fibers of connecting fabric (see Veygert methods of coloring), etc. Processing of dye strong salt to - that and paraldehyde (see) allows to receive aldehyde-fuchsin across Gomori, with the help to-rogo paint elastic fibers, mucin, granules of mast cells, r-basophiles of a hypophysis, neurosecretory granules of neurons of hypothalamic area of a brain in magenta or dark-violet color, (3 cells of islands of a pancreas. The main fuchsin is an important component of a reactant of Schiff (see Schiff a reactant) who is widely applied in a histochemistry (see ShI K-reaction). The main fuchsin is used also for identification in cells of DNA (see. Deoxyribonucleic acid), for plazmalevy reaction (see), during the studying of localization of carbohydrates, glycogens-fosfori-manholes and glucan-vetvyashchego of enzyme. The pararosaniline hexanitrated after Lloyd or dye, close to it — so-called new fuchsin (Magenta III) use in reaction of azocoupling with phosphates of AS naphthols for identification of acid phosphatase (see) and studying of cellular lysosomes (see). Thanks to ability to me-takhromatichesky coloring (see M an etakhromaziya) the main fuchsin is suitable also for identification in fabrics of glikozaminoglikan and glycoproteins (see Mucopolysaccharides).
At bacterial. researches solutions of the main fuchsin on alcohol, aniline water (see Leffler methods) or carbolic water across Tsil (see Tsil — Neljsena a method) apply to coloring in red color of acid resisting bacteria and also protozoa.
The main fuchsin is produced in the different countries under various names (Basic fuchsin, Diamant-fuchsin, Magenta O, etc.), and structure of different brands and even different consignments of dye is not always rather homogeneous.
