FLYUORESTSEYNOVY TEST —

the method of a research in ophthalmology based on coloring of certain tissues of eye by solution of a flyuorestsein. It is applied to detection of surface defects of a cornea and a conjunctiva, a fistula of a cornea, a research of passability of the lacrimal ways of an eye. During operations of extraction of a cataract, a through keratoplasty F. items use for definition of tightness of seams.

Enter 1 — 2 drops of 1% of solution of a flyuorestsein then an eye is washed out a large amount of isotonic solution of sodium chloride into a conjunctival sac of an eye until the flowing-down liquid does not lose a greenish shade and will not become transparent. The normal cornea is not painted by flyuorestsei-number, and after washing of its traces on a cornea does not remain. With defect of an epithelium flyuorestsein gets into the main substance of a cornea and it is fixed there. In these cases at a research by means of side illumination of an eye, and also at biomicroscopy (see Biomicroscopy of an eye) find greenish coloring of defect.

For identification of a fistula of a cornea solution of a flyuorestsein is instillirut directly on a cornea. Emergence from an anterior chamber of a stream of the green liquid found in the light of a slit lamp indicates existence of a fistula. A research of passability of nasolacrimal ways (see. The lacrimal bodies) carry out by means of nasolacrimal test.
