FIBER ENDOSCOPES (Greek endon inside + skopeo to observe, investigate) — devices for survey of cavities and channels of a body of the person, in to-rykh, unlike ordinary endoscopes, instead of system of lenses the fiber optics — posterior photoconductive pyramids from fibrous glass is used. It provides transfer of the image of the studied object anyway to the bent way and considerably expands diagnostic opportunities of endoscopy — see. Endoscopy (endoscopes).
