FABRIC THERAPY (Greek therapeia treatment) — a method of treatment of various diseases of the drugs made of tinned fabrics of an animal and plant origin.

It is offered by V. P. Filatov; according to its concept, at conservation in fabrics there is a biochemical reorganization, as a result a cut in them the substances having high biological activity are formed — biogenic stimulators (see).

Material for production of medical fabric drugs is chosen according to contents in it various natural metabolites and biologically active compounds, such as amino acids (see), including irreplaceable, vitamins (see), hormones (see), mediators (see), microelements (see), etc.

In the beginning with the purpose T. t. made change of fabrics (a cornea, skin, a placenta, etc.). After it was established that sterilization of tinned fabrics does not reduce them to lay down. properties, began to apply widely distillation and extracts from them.

Fabric therapy is used in ophthalmology, and also at nek-ry diseases in gynecology, dermatology, therapy, surgery, neurology. The T is most effective. t. at treatment of defeats of a cornea (a keratitis of various etiology, dystrophic processes), opacities of the vitreous body, retinites, retinopathies, choroidites, an optic neuritis, short-sightedness, etc. Fabric drugs are included in an arsenal of geriatric means. They exert positive impact on metabolic and functional processes of the growing old organism.

Fabric drugs are used locally, inside and parenterally. Extracts and distillation enter subcutaneously 1 ml daily during 3 — 4 weeks. The suspension of a placenta is appointed subcutaneously on 2 ml (previously enter 0,5% solution of novocaine) with an interval of 7 — 10 days; on a course 3 — 4 injections.

Fabric drugs are contraindicated at acute nephrosonephrites and hepatitises, cordial sosudisstoy to insufficiency, pregnancy.
