To ENTEROVYR SNY DISEASES (Greek enteron a gut + a virus [y \) — group of the diseases caused by Koksaki's enteroviruses and ECHO, and also enteroviruses of serotypes 70 and 71. Activators E. make group of enteroviruses of the person together with causative agents of poliomyelitis (see. Intestinal viruses).
The main distinguishing character of enteroviruses is ability to breed in intestines and to be allocated with excrements. However it is peculiar also to a number of viruses of other childbirth and types, in particular adenoviruses (see), to a virus of hepatitis A (see Parvoviruses), to rotaviruses (see). The activator can get into an organism as in the airborne way, and through a mouth.
AA. the wedge, currents are characterized by a large number of options, many from to-rykh have even no remote similarity: napr, enteritis, serous meningitis, an epidemic mialgiya, herpangina, an acute respiratory disease, fevers with an enanthesis or mucous membranes, myocarditis (see the Gastroenteritis, Koksaki-vi-rusnye of a disease, Meningitis, Myocarditis. } Poliomiyelitopodobny diseases, Respiratory viral diseases, Enteritis). At the same time the wedge, a picture of a disease does not depend on a serotype of the activator. It is defined not so much by properties of viruses, how many features of age and individual reactivity of an organism of the patient, napr, the diagnosis of some sporadic E., proceeding in a typiform (an epidemic mialgiya, herpangina), before identification of the activator it can be put only presumably. Other forms and atypically proceeding infections clinically cannot be distinguished. The final diagnosis is established on the basis of comparison of results virusol. and serol. researches about a wedge, and epidemiol. data.
Features of an etiology, epidemiology, clinic and diagnosis E. point out convention of their association in one group and illegality of the diagnosis «an enteroviral disease». On etiol. to the sign used in a systematics inf. diseases, it is necessary to allocate as independent nozol. the Koksaki-infektsiyu forms (with division according to group of activators to Koksaki - And - an infection and Koksaki - In - an infection), ESNO-in-fektsiyu and the diseases caused by enteroviruses 70 and 71. Each of them can be shown in various a wedge, forms, the name to-rykh it is necessary to give depending on the leader a wedge, a syndrome (e.g., the serous meningitis caused by the ECHO virus, type 2; the acute enteritis caused by Koksaki's virus And, type 1; the herpangina caused by an enterovirus of a serotype 70).
