ELEKTROGLOTTOGRAFIYA [electro-(from «electricity») + annate. glottis the voice device + grapho to write, represent] — an extra guttural method of registration of fluctuations of true phonatory bands in the course of phonation. AA. apply to a research of golosoobrazuyushchy function of a throat (see) at various fiziol. and patol. conditions of the voice device; it gives the chance to obtain information on structure of an oscillatory cycle of true phonatory bands at various moments of a phonation.
For the first time method E. Fabr described (Rh. Fabre) in 1957 Elektroglottograf — the electronic device consisting of the generator of electric current of ultrahigh frequency, the detector, the amplifier and the electrical power unit. Sensors of the device moisten with conducting solution and fix on a neck investigated in a zone of a projection of true phonatory bands. The fluctuations of intensity of electric current arising at phonation in connection with fluctuations of true phonatory bands are registered in the form of the oscillogram (elektroglottogramma), edges are displayed by rate of divergence and rapprochements of sheaves at every moment of a phonation. Elektroglottogramma reflects a phase of opening of a glottis, a phase of its maximum opening, a phase of closing and a phase of a full smykaniye of true phonatory bands.
Persons with normal function have throats and not changed her mucous membrane the elektroglottogramma reflects the steady ravnoamplitudny nature of fluctuations of true phonatory bands. At inflammatory diseases of a throat E. allows to define a stage of a disease — an inflammatory hyperkinesia of muscles of the voice device, a hypokinesis and a stage a vyzdorovlepiya. At benign tumors of true phonatory bands on elektroglottogramma various changes depending on the size of a tumor, its localization, prescription of a disease can be noted. At malignant tumors of not muddy phonatory bands the progressing decrease in amplitude of fluctuations on an elektroglottogramma according to a stage of tumoral growth is observed. E.g., with an intra epithelial growth of a tumor the spastic condition of true phonatory bands displayed on an elektroglottogramma in the form of multiple interceptions is characteristic.
