DELITSYN Sergey Nikolaevich (1858 — 1918) — the domestic surgeon and the anatomist.

Having ended VMA in 1884, worked as the surgeon in the Warsaw military hospital. In 1887 it was approved as the assistant at department of normal anatomy of VMA. In 1889 protected dokt, the thesis to a subject about the shift of bodies of a neck and in two years it was elected the privatdozent. Since 1899 professor of department of operational surgery and topographical anatomy Women's medical in-that, and then professor medical f-that Kharkiv un-that. In 1902 — 1912 professor of department of operational surgery and topographical anatomy of VMA.

Widely applying an experiment on a corpse, he together with M. M. Volkov described a pathogeny of a movable kidney (1897), found out crucial importance of intra belly pressure in fixing of abdominal organs; for the first time established distinction of a form of renal beds, changes of topography of bodies and systems at patol, processes. In the work devoted to assessment of the general and local anesthesia (1904) it with exhaustive completeness lit merits of domestic scientists in development of anesthesia. A number of tools and devices for anatomic researches is offered them. In the guide to operational surgery and topographical anatomy (1905) S. N. Delitsyn paid special attention not only to the equipment of surgical intervention, but also to need at assessment of this or that operation first of all to consider fiziol, its admissibility; one of the first indicated the need of careful studying of reaction of all organism to an operative measure. Including insufficient studying of the technology of operations only on corpses, performed operations on animals.
