R. Degos published apprx. 300 scientific works devoted to various questions of dermatology and syphilology. Described a number of a new dermatosis, including in 1942 atrofiruyushchy malignant papulez (see. Degosa syndrome ), in 1941 a streptococcal hypodermitis [together with A. Civatte, Osipovsky (V. Ossipowski) and H. Touraine], in 1952 a diffusion skin mastocytosis; specified clinic and gistomorfol. data on skin rashes at a gistiomonotsitarny reticulosis (1957), and also the principles of treatment of early and latent syphilis (1965). He is the author of the original guide to dermatology («Dermatologie») published in 1953 — 1962 with annual additions, the editor of the Annales de dermatologie et de syphiligraphie (1962) magazine.

P. Degos — the secretary general of French about-va dermatologists and syphilologists (since 1943), the president of the International committee dermatological about-in (1962 — 1966), the honorary member apprx. the 30th foreign Dermatolum, about-in, including Germany, the USA, Canada, England, Poland, Romania, etc. It is awarded the order the Honourable Legion.
