CRUST (crusta) — the product of drying up of exudate which is formed at various patol, processes in skin (at drying up of contents of bubbles, pustules, serous or purulent separated erosion and ulcers, blood). Color K. varies from yellow to red-brown and brownish (impurity of blood).
To. represents mix of a koagulirovanny intercellular lymph and blood plasma, the broken-up blood cells, epithelial cells, sometimes with particles of medicinal substances, ointments. V K. fibrin, leukocytes, erythrocytes, cells and fibers of a derma are found.
To. are formed at many dermatosis. Depending on character and degree of manifestation of process To. can be thin gentle, friable and easily separating (e.g., at impetigo, seborrheal eczema); sometimes they dense and difficult act, napr, at an ordinary ecthyma and rupioidny psoriasis. Rupee — thick, ustritsepodobny layered To., the formed as a result of disintegration deep into and on the periphery of the center, napr, syphilitic rupee. Also crusts scales — mix of scales and separated To meet. (exudative scaly deprive, seborrhea, etc.)*. After violent removal To. the erosive or ulcer surface, and after natural falling away is bared To. — center of regeneration, hem or cicatricial atrophy.
