COCHLEAR NEURITIS (Latin cochlea snail, sink: grech, neuron nerve. + - itis; synonym neuritis of an eighth cranial nerve) — the neuritis of a cochlear part of an acoustical nerve which is characterized by existence of a sonitus and a hearing impairment as disturbance of sound perception — see.
