CHISTOVICH Alexey Nikolaevich (1905 — 1970) is the Soviet pathologist, the member correspondent of AMH (1961). Colonel of health service. N. Ya. Chistovich's son.
Ended VMA in 1926. From 1926 to 1940 the teacher of department of pathological anatomy of VMA and along with 1931 the manager. pathoanatomical department of the Leningrad scientific research institute of surgical tuberculosis. Doctor of medical sciences (1935); professor (1940). In 1940 — 1942 the chief of department of pathological anatomy of the Kuibyshev army medical college, after disbandment a cut from 1942 to 1946 the deputy chief and from 1946 to 1969 the chief of department of pathological anatomy of VMA.
A. N. Chistovich is the author of the St. 150 scientific works devoted to problems of pathological anatomy of tuberculosis, diseases of the hemopoietic system, and also fighting defeats. Developed model of experimental bone tuberculosis, studied dynamics of its development, established connection of emergence of organ forms of tuberculosis with its hematogenous disseminated forms. Studied features of development of a wound process in lungs, showed ample opportunities of regeneration of pulmonary fabric. Established that distribution of microorganisms in fabrics at a mephitic gangrene is followed by inflammatory reaction with participation of polymorphonuclear leukocytes. For the first time in the USSR described an agranulocytosis, studied pathological anatomy of acute leukoses. And. N. Chistovich was a coauthor and the editor of textbooks «Pathological Anatomy of Diseases of the Person» (1963), «A course of the general pathological anatomy» (1970).
During the Soviet-Finnish war (1939 — 1940) took part under the leadership of A. A. Vasilyev in the organization of the first supernumerary army a stalemate of a log of anatomic laboratories, headed one of them.
A. N. Chistovich was a chairman Leningrad scientific about-va pathologists, the board member Vsesoyuznogo vauchny about-va pathologists, the editor of a redotdel «Pathology and morphology» of the 2nd prod. BME.
It is awarded by the Orders of Lenin, the Red Banner, the Red Star and medals.
