CHERVAKOV Vasily Fedorovich (1894 — 1976) is the Soviet judicial physician, zasl. scientist of RSFSR. Member of the CPSU.
Having graduated from medical faculty of the Moscow university in 1917, served in Red Army. After demobilization worked as the assistant, the associate professor, professor medical f-tov the Smolensk, and then Belarusian high fur boots. Since 1928 the director Ying-that criminalistics and judicial examination of BSSR. From 1939 to 1962 the manager, and since 1962 the consultant of department of forensic medicine
of the 1st MMI. In 1934 protected dokt. the thesis on a subject «About ’’pathology” of a rifle in the medicolegal and criminalistic relations»; professor (1935).
Belongs to V. F. Chervakov St. 100 scientific works. It developed many questions of criminalistic and medicolegal examinations of fire damages generalized in «Judicial ballistics» — the first domestic monograph on this problem. V. F. Chervakov's researches are devoted also to questions of qualification of weight of injuries, sudden death, toxicology, history of forensic medicine in the USSR and abroad. V. F. Chervakov — one of coauthors of the textbook on forensic medicine for students of medical in-t (1959) which sustained 3 editions. V. F. Chervakov gave great attention to training of judicial physicians, many of his pupils headed departments of forensic medicine medical
in-comrade V. F. Chervakov was a member of presidium All-Union scientific about-va judicial physicians, the associate editor of the Forensic medical examination magazine.
It is awarded by the Order of Lenin and medals.
