ChARTAK — the balneological resort in the Uzbek SSR. It is located in 30 km from Namangan, in the foothills of the Chatkal Range, at the height of 600 m above sea-level, in the valley of the river Chartak-Sai representing a continuous landscape gardening array surrounded with hills.

Climate foothill. The summer is dry, hot (average temperature of July 27 °), winter moderately soft (average temperature of January — 3 °). An annual amount of precipitation apprx. 250 mm. Number of hours of sunshine more than 2600 in a year.
