BENZOPURPURINE (Benzopurpurin) — red benzidine dye from group of azo compounds. 4 brands of dye are known: In, 4V, 6V and 10V. B. represents powder from orange-red (In) to purple (10B) colors, easily water soluble. In the histologic equipment benzopurpurine 4B is applied to coloring of amyloid. Other brands B. are used as background cytoplasmatic dyes after coloring of kernels by hematoxylin.
