BELOSHAPKO Pavel Andreevich (1893 — 1960) — the Soviet obstetrician-gynecologist, the member correspondent of the USSR Academy of Medical Sciences (1955). Member of the CPSU. After the termination in 1917 VMA till 1922 served in ranks of Red Army (the senior doctor of a shooting regiment). From 1923 to 1928 worked in the Central akushersko - gynecologic in-those (Leningrad) under the leadership of V. V. Stroganov and V. V. Preobrazhensky.
From 1933 to 1943 — the research associate, then the assistant, the associate professor of obstetrics and gynecology and the manager. clinic Leningrad pediatric medical in-that. In days of the Siege of Leningrad protected dokt. the thesis about placental presentation (1942). In 1943 — 1945 worked in medical institutions of Leningrad. From 1944 to 1949 — the head of obstetric department of the Central scientific research institute of obstetrics and gynecology Narkomzdrava of the USSR (Leningrad). In 1949 — 1953 — the deputy director by a scientific part Ying-that obstetrics and gynecology (Moscow), at the same time chief obstetrician-gynecologist of M3 of the USSR. From 1954 to the last days lives were headed by Ying t of obstetrics and gynecology of the USSR Academy of Medical Sciences (Leningrad).
P. A. Beloshapko is the author of 76 scientific works the, including monographs and the managements devoted to theoretical and practical questions of obstetrics and gynecology. He entered the clinical concept «weakness of patrimonial activity», developed diagnosis of this pathology, established direct dependence between duration of childbirth and weight of their current for mother and the child. Studying of physiology of sokratitelny function of a uterus and influence on it of pharmacological and hormonal means of P. A. Beloshapko laid the foundation for in-depth studies on purposeful stimulation of patrimonial activity of a uterus and management of childbirth. On the basis of X-ray inspections he created (1952) a method of measurement of a head of a fruit and a basin of mother at the time of delivery.
P. A. Beloshapko was the deputy chairman of the board Vsesoyuzny and Leningrad societies of obstetricians-gynecologists, the associate editor of the Obstetrics and Gynecology magazine. On the International congresses of obstetricians-gynecologists in Geneva (1954) and Montreal (1958) made reports on urgent problems of obstetrics. In 2 prod. BME was the author and the editor according to the section «Obstetrics and Gynecology». It is awarded by the Orders of Lenin, the Labour Red Banner and medals.
