BELITSER Vladimir Aleksandrovich (sort. in 1906) — the Soviet biochemist, the academician of AN of USSR (1957). Ying-that directs department of structure and function of protein of biochemistry of AN of USSR. Ended Moscow un-t in 1930. It investigated bonds of processes of glycolysis and breath, the quantitative relations between breath and phosphorylation (coefficient P: О). It concretized idea of ways of use of energy of cellular respiration (1931 — 1941). These data gained recognition and development in the Soviet and foreign science. V. A. Bilitser's researches are devoted also to identification physical. - chemical bases of specific functions of proteins. Studying of the phenomena of a denaturation (sovm. from K. I. Kotkova) formed a basis for development of a proteinaceous blood substitute from bull blood (BK-8). It are investigated by it physical. - chemical bases of transformation of fibrinogen into fibrin at a blood coagulation.
